Lake Mead National Recreation Area

George Grant photographed at Lake Mead in 1937 and 1939. In 1937 he photographed Hoover Dam under construction as well as nearby Valley of Fire State Park, being developed by the CCC as Nevada's first state park. He returned in 1939 for the dedication of Hoover Dam.
