Tumacacori Mission National HIstorical Park

George Grant photographed at Tumacacori in 1929, 1935, 1940, 1947 and in the early 1950s. In 1935, he was the photographer for the Sonoran Mission Expedition, an NPS survey of Spanish Missions in the area of Arizona and northern Mexico that had been established by Fr. Eusibio Kino in the 1700s. The purpose was to gather information to construct an historically accurate visitor center at Tumacacori..
